SAMPLE OF RESTAURANTS IN PIGEON FORGE AND GATLINBURG

The Smoky Mountain area is home to some of the very best restaurants in East Tennessee. With hundreds of eateries to choose from, it can be hard to decide. We suggest eating where the locals eat. The are local favorite restaurants in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.

Pottery House Cafe & Grille

Located across from Pigeon Forge’s historic grist mill, Pottery House Cafe & Grille is a can’t-miss destination for any getaway in the Smokies. This hugely popular restaurant serves delicious Southern fare in a charming environment. All of the food at the Pottery House Cafe is made from scratch and many of the dishes use freshly ground flour from The Old Mill. Highlights of the cafe’s menu include the quiche, French onion soup, club sandwich, catfish, and coconut cream pie. THIS IS OUR FAVORITE PLACE TO EAT IN THE AREA.

Blue Moose Burgers & Wings

Blue Moose Burgers & Wings is another one of the local favorite restaurants in Pigeon Forge. This restaurant features everything to enjoy a big game: chicken wings, burgers, and beer. Blue’s award-winning jumbo wings come in 16 flavors, including Thai Curry, Mango Habanero, Sriracha Ranch, Honey BBQ, and Sesame Ginger. The Blue Moose half pound burger includes the Steakhouse Burger, Patty Melt, and Grilled Cheese Cheeseburger.

Smokies Cuban Cafe

To experience something different on your vacation, just visit Smokies Cuban Cafe. This restaurant serves authentic Cuban cuisine in Pigeon Forge. Owned and operated by a Cuban family, the cafe has inspired a loyal following for its empanadas, Cuban sandwiches, palomilla steak, ropa vieja, and yuca. Coffee drinkers will love the restaurant’s cafe con leche, while kids will enjoy the tasty fruit smoothies.

Three Jimmy’s

Three Jimmy’s is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This local favorite restaurant has a varied menu, including Southern BBQ, pizza, salads, burgers, steak, wings, and more. On certain evenings, Three Jimmy’s has live entertainment from local bands to karaoke. Be sure to save room for dessert, because Jimmy’s cheesecake is out of this world. Upon entering the restaurant the desserts are there to view as you enter the eating area.

Parton’s Deli

Parton’s Deli is a true local favorite since 1974. Parton’s serves fantastic, steamed submarine sandwiches with melted cheese and flavorful meats. Parton’s Deli also has deviled eggs, potato salad, chili dogs, and lemon pound cake. Parton’s Deli only accepts cash.

Local Goat

Local Goat Tavern quickly became one of the best places to eat in town. Everything at Local Goat is homemade, from freshly baked bread to freshly squeezed juices. Some favorites on the Local Goat menu include the cheese fondue, Elvis burger (topped with peanut butter, bacon, and fried bananas), Fettucine Rocco, teriyaki kabobs, and fish and chips. For dessert, you must try the crème brûlée!

Smoky Mountain Brewery

With locations in both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, Smoky Mountain Brewery is the perfect place to spend a night out. This restaurant is famous for its house-brewed beer and classic American food, including pizza, burgers, wings, sandwiches, salads, steaks, and pasta. Smoky Mountain Brewery has numerous TVs and regular live music performances.

Apple Barn, Restaurant, Winery, Cider Mill and More

The Apple Barn and Cider Mill General Store is one of the most popular places to visit in Tennessee’s Smoky Mountains. Located beside an apple orchard, the Apple Barn is legendary for its freshly squeezed cider and mouthwatering apple desserts. In addition to the Cider Mill & General Store, the Apple Valley complex also boasts a number of other shops and restaurants that make use of the orchard’s delicious apples.

Before it became the “Apple Barn,” this iconic building was just a typical rural barn used to store hay, farm equipment, and livestock. Originally constructed in 1910, the barn found a new purpose around 1980 when apple trees that were planted four years earlier started to bear fruit. The owners of the farm cleaned the barn and started selling apples from the renovated building during the fall months. Before long, the Apple Barn started selling apple cider and apple pie to great critical acclaim. Nearly 40 years later, millions of visitors have made the Apple Barn Village a can’t-miss shopping and dining destination in the Smokies.
