Gatlinburg
The Donut Friar

The Village in Gatlinburg is home to a favorite for locals and tourists alike for over 50 years.  The aroma of freshly baked donuts lead you right to the door.  Eclairs, cake donuts, cinnamon bread and fritters await.  Of course, what’s a donut without a fresh, hot cup of coffee?  The Donut Friar makes lattes, cappuccino, and other espresso drinks flavored to your liking!

A Gatlinburg classic – The Donut Friar – opens at 5 a.m.  With hours this early, you’ll be able to grab a coffee and a tasty treat and still hit your favorite trails for sunrise.  Be sure to bring cash for this shop – they don’t accept credit cards.

Coffee and Company

Also located in The Village is Coffee and Company.  Serving tasty cups of coffee since 1993, you’ll find more than coffee.  Coffee and Company offers all the traditional drinks you’d expect in the best coffee shop in Gatlinburg, but they also offer options for vegans as well.  Find vegan cookies and several varieties of non-dairy milk.

Coffee and Company roasts their beans from their original green state.  Beans are never more than 10 days out from being freshly roasted.  You can buy their coffee straight from single origin to seasonal flavors from their online store.  Using a Keurig machine?  Coffee and Company even offers “J cups” for individual brewing.
