Gatlinburg Trolley – Be Wowed by Winterfest Holiday Lights

The trolley route departs the Mass Transit Center at Light 5 for a 45 minute ride throughout Gatlinburg’s Winter Magic displays 3 times nightly from November 22 through December (excluding Thanksgiving, the first Friday in December, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day), and each Saturday night in January, with departures at 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30 each night of operation. Tickets may be reserved and purchased online at www.gatlinburg.com/events. For questions, call 865-277-8222, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Smoky Mountain Christmas Festival at Dollywood takes place from early November until the beginning of January SMCSectionpage2.ashxand is a family event on steroids!

With four million Christmas lights and incredible holiday performances, your family will have SMCSectionpage.ashxto go back for more and ry to squeeze in the high production Christmas shows. Dollywood’s A Christmas Carol, is an adaptation of the classic Dickens tale. Christmas in the Smokies and Christmas with the Kingdom Heirs are two more shows, and the excitement continues for the family when the kids meet Rudolph and his friends, and visit Santa’s Workshop.

So here’s the drill, check the weather forecast at one of the Visitor Centers, pick up trail maps and talk to the rangers. You kids will love the rangers, and they have great stories plus activities to make them feel they are part of the mountains.

Then head for the hiking trails knowing that winter is a stunning time to visit the national park.

At the end of your hike, you can look forward to returning to your cozy cabin and warming up by the fireplace with a cup of hot chocolate or take a soak in the hot tub!

Live Christmas and holiday entertainment from Country Western, Oldies, Imitators, Magic, Dog Shows, Comedy, to Horse Shows. Pigeon Forge has them all. These talented performers are top in their field, and will not disappoint anyone in your group or family. Every night can be a different show, or take in a matinee.
